Each year Rotary District 6380 sends a team of young professionals on a month long Group Study Exchange to another Rotary District. This year the team lead by Rotarian Barry Fraser includes Cheryl Bootsma, Kristi Cummings, Susanna Thomashefski and Katy Uher. Team Alternates include Cheryl Savage (Team Leader Alternate), Jennifer Jacobson and Heather Sarson. We visit Rotary District 9630 Brisbane and area. Come follow us on our journey to Australia!

Reading the newspaper article and reading your blog has brought back many memories for me, all good. I was a GSE team member from district 6380 to district 9710 in Australia in 2001. They say GSE changes your life. Little did I know back then how that is true. I met my husband while on my GSE exchange and I now live in district 9710 in a place called Jerrabomberra just outside the capital city of Canberra. (I actually live in NSW, Canberra is in the ACT). You will have a great time and will meet alot of wonderful people. It will be exhausting but exhilarating at the same time.

I keep hearing stories like yours all the time Cathy! Thanks for sharing.
It seems like incredible odds, but it keeps happening to people...some move to Australia, others bring their new love here. Which begs the question, what is in their water?
